I started this stock account on February 12, 2006.
In that time I have submitted well in excess of 5,000 free stock images for people to use.
However, since dA Admin and Staff still, after a month, choose to ignore my requests to let stockers post their exclusive stock... that has all changed.
I am the only stocker (that I know of) that has been targeted by dA staff - moving my password protected stock to Artistic Nude Photography because its not 'download and use straight away' stock.
The situation? To protect my nude stock photos from being used on other websites, being posted on 'matchmaking' sites and all around the internet without following my rules (as happens a lot in the stock gallery) I decided to post .zip files with password protection. Artists needed only to note me or comment saying they'd like to use those stock images and agree to abide by my rules (that would be the 'written agreement' covered since dA doesn't give a fuck about people breaking copyright of artists on here).
All my stock was then moved. I asked staff to change their minds but no. No budging.
fourteenthstar even commented on my protest journal saying she would 'talk' to the others about this fucked up rule but I never heard from her again. I was trying to be peaceful and avoid doing what the staff hate so much. Sadly, it is the ONLY way to get their attention.
Because of that stupid decision, they are condemning me to very rare use. If my STOCK isn't in the STOCK gallery - how can people search for want they want and find me?
dA Admin, staff, etc... congratulations. You've won.
To those who supported my protest - thank you. Sadly, it just wasn't enough. dA really prefers mass-drama with mass gallery removal and news articles and posts in forums as opposed to a peaceful protest of support icons in a journal.

I'm still not going to fill foot-fetish/dead andor suicide/shower andor bath/etc requests so don't bother asking.
For those wondering, I made a new account to start fresh. I want to keep this one open to be a constant reminder of what not to do.
What not to do? Get too involved.
I'm on here very rarely for that exact reason. Those that I have been friends with know where to find me on facebook if they want to be social with me - I'm trying to keep that separate from dA. dA + socialising + me = bad mojo.

PROTEST
Its been 2 weeks so far. No response. Not even a PEEP as to whether or not exclusive stocks or password protected packs are/will be allowed on deviantART.
We've had offers for free webhosting to put a 'request passworded stock' website up. Needless to say - many of us are already thinking of it in a serious way if dA doesn't start listening to one of their biggest galleries.

I was just reading all of what was written here. I find this very disturbing. On another account I was a member of a group who offered tons of exclusive stock, and members were given passwords to them. It seems very strange that you would be targeted. I hope that things have changed since the problems you have gone through.
