JOINING THE RUCKUS

You guys know how much I love to cause a stir. Any time I can cause a little frustration is when I'm at my best... unfortunately. Comes with the territory of being a grade-A terror

Last night I logged on to my ~demonicintuition account and saw `Elandria's journal. Then =CausticStock posted another one not long after that. I saw another 3 pop up within 2 hours.

12 hours later... I've seen no less than 50 stockers and/or resources post the same thing. (Helps watching a few thousand stockers on that account )

I can't exactly join in by putting my stock in storage... since its been there for the past few months anyway. But this is something I believe in.

Stock freeze, stock storage, protecting your rights... that's something I'd be proud seeing any and all stockers do.

For those of you thinking we're kicking up a stink over nothing? You'd be surprised how many photography (general photography, professional photography, purchased... you name it) magazines I've read lately.

At least half of them touch on the issue of stock photography (got me reminiscing) and how stock photographers NEED to know their rights. They NEED to because of how they can be taken for granted... and worse, how they can be forced to PAY for their own work if they don't know the law about it properly.

I suggest all stockers read up on it. I'm going to start posting excerpts from some of these magazines in my journal at some point.

Don't wait until its too late. Educate yourself.
